A rare set of six George III Toddy Ladles made in Edinburgh in 1813 by D. McDonald.

This fine set of six Ladles are made in the fiddle pattern and have long elegant stems and circular bowls. The top of each stem is engraved with a contemporary Crest with the Motto Forward above. In heraldic terms, the Crest is a human heart ensigned with an Imperial Crown, between two wings. The Crest and Motto are those as used by Sir Charles Douglas, 6th Marquis of Queensberry.
