A rare set of Cased Knives, with Pique handles, made circa 1830, most probably in London

The six Knives have shaped handles which are beautifully inlaid with silver and mother of pearl pique work, including ovals, roundels and stars. Each has a steel blade and are contained within a felt lined brass bound campaign box. This is the first time we have seen pique work on flatware. All are in excellent condition, a rare lot.

Length of knives, 8 inches, 20cm.

Length of the box: 9 inches, 22.5cm.
