The Spoon is modelled in the fiddle pattern and is die stamped at the top of the stem with the Sovereigns Crown above a shamrock, rose and thistle. The stem also displays a garter with Ire.Royal.Horti. Society. The cartouche is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials, which will be those of the winner of the prize. When the spoon is turned over we see that this was awarded for Hollyhocks! The spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked.
