A rare pair of George III Telescopic Candlesticks made in Sheffield in 1820 by Thomas Watson & Company

This very rare pair of Candlesticks are of the telescopic form, the height of which can be altered through extending the length of the main shaft. Both have circular bases, loaded with mahogany, always a feature of quality of production. Each are very unusually decorated with acanthus and palm foliage as well as flower heads and scroll work.
