A rare pair of George III Sprung Sugar Tongs made in London circa 1786-90 by William Buckett.

The Tongs are of typical wishbone form and the arms are decorated with thread edge borders. The arms terminate in oval grips and are both very well marked. Sugar sized sprung tongs are rare compared to the larger asparagus sized type.
