A rare pair of George III Boudoir Labels made in London circa 1780 by Jame Phipps.
291514
The Labels are of an unusual small size and are broad rectangular in form. They are engraved with the titles, WHITE WINE and MADEIRA, surrounded by a crisp bright cut and prick dot border. The unusual size indicates that these labels would have been used on the small size decanters which were used for smaller quantities in the Boudoir. Both are in excellent condition and are well marked on the reverse with IP for James Phipps.
