The Vinaigrette is broad rectangular in form and is decorated all over with herring bone and corded bands. The cover also displays a vacant rectangular cartouche. The interior is very well marked and displays a grille pierced with pluming scrolls and flower heads, all contained within a bright cut frame. This was a design which was also exclusive to the workshops of Thomas Shaw.
