A rare George III Wine Funnel Stand made in Edinburgh circa 1790 by John Mckay.

The Funnel Stand is circular in form with a domed central section and a raised beaded rim. The centre is engraved with a contemporary Scottish Crest with Motto banner above. The Crest is that of the Gordon family, who for some time settled in Tobago. These pieces were used to stand the wine funnel on and Scottish examples are not common. This piece is well marked and is in excellent condition.

Diameter: 3.9 inches, 9.75cm.
