A rare George III Silver Ruler made in Birmingham circa 1800 by Samuel Pemberton.

The Ruler is beautifully decorated with bright cut designs on one side and with four inches of measurement and herring bone designs on the front. This rare piece also displays a moveable central band to slide along the ruler, also decorated with herring bone designs. The ruler is a rare survivor, in excellent crisp condition, and marked with a clear makers mark on the sliding band.
