A rare George III Potato Fork made in Dublin in 1793 by John Shiels.

This rare piece is of an unusually large size and is modelled in the Old English Thread Pattern, which is double struck. The unusually shaped end has six tines and the top of the stem is engraved with an unusual contemporary Crest. The Fork is in quite excellent condition and is very well marked. This is the first time we have seen a fork of this form and size from Ireland.

Length: 13 inches, 32.5cm.

Weight: 7oz.
