A rare George III Cream Pail made in London in 1779 by Hester Bateman

The Cream Pail stands on a circular domed foot, with a beaded rim, which is pierced with horizontal pails and roundels, in addition to a band of blue bell motifs. The Neo Classical vase shaped main body has a beaded rim and arched handle and is also pierced with horizontal pails and roundels, as well as most unusual swirling bands of bluebell drops. This example has a vacant circular cartouche and blue glass liner.
