A rare George III cased Travelling Knife & Fork made most probably in London circa 1780.

The Knife and Fork have beautiful, and very unusual, reeded green stained ivory handles which display bright cut silver bands down the centre. They are also decorated with a double beaded band where the handle meets the steel blade of the knife and the three prong fork. The two pieces are contained within a fur and silk lined red leather case, with gold patterning around the edge. This is the first time we have seen this unusual design.
