A rare George III Campaign Set made in London in 1794.
301949
This Campaign Set consists of an Old English pattern spoon made in London in 1794 by Thomas Northcote & George Bourne and is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials. The three prong fork and knife have reeded handles and were made in London in 1794 by the knife maker Moses Brent. They are all contained within a most unusual silk and velvet lined shagreen case. They may well have been a special commission, as we have not seen this specific design and case before. They may well have been used in a military campaign due to the very durable nature of the case.
Length of case: 7.5 inches, 18.75cm.
