A rare George III Basket of Flowers Pin Cushion made in Birmingham circa 1810 by Joseph Taylor.

The Pin Cushion is beautifully modelled as a basket, with basket weave sides and base, to simulate the wicker. The top edge is beautifully chased to simulate the flower heads, including roses, tulips and sunflowers. This piece has an arched handle, decorated with cording, and its original green velvet interior. This piece is in quite exceptional, original, condition and the underside of the handle is clearly marked with the maker's mark IT, for Joseph Taylor.

Length, at the rim: 1.1 inches: 2.75cm.
Width, at the rim: 0.9 inches, 2.25cm.
Height, to the top of the handle: 1.5 inches, 3.75cm.
