A rare George II Hanoverian Pattern Snuff Spoon made in London circa 1735 by Humphrey Shinton.

The Snuff Spoon is modelled in the Hanoverian pattern and displays a drop on the reverse of the bowl. The top of the stem is engraved with the contemporary initials AH. Snuff Spoons from this early date do not survive in large quantities. The stem is marked with the sterling mark and makers mark.
