The Nutmeg Grater is modelled in the rare Egg form and is beautifully chased all over with swirling flutes and scrolls in addition to flower heads and foliate motifs, in the Rococo style. The centre unscrews to reveal a removable steel grille with silver rim. The interior is marked with SM, for Samuel Meriton of London. A rare design in excellent crisp condition.
