A rare early George III Cream Pail made in London in 1763 by William Plummer.

This unusual piece is modelled as a milk maids pail, however this is a solid example and many at this date are pierced. The sides are decorated with pronounced horizontal bands to simulate the metal bands on the bucket. This example also has an everted rim, which is beautifully finished with a shaped edge. The arched handle is formed of two entwined bands. This rare piece is in excellecnt condition and is vert well marked on the base.
