A pretty George III Pepper Caster made in London in 1779 by Robert Hennell.

The Pepper stands on a circular pedestal foot which is decorated with beading and bright cutting, as is the rim. The main body is unusually pierced with vertical pails and pretty flower heads. The shaped pull off cover is also decorated with beaded bands and bright cut designs and is engraved with a contemporary Crest. The Pepper is fully marked in the foot and has a blue glass liner.
