A good George I Mug made in London in 1723 by William Spackman.

The Mug stands on a circular foot which is decorated with reeding. The sides are slightly tapering with a tucked in base and everted rim. The plain scroll handle is engraved with contemporary initials above the date July 29th 1722. This example is very well marked in the foot.
