The Sweetmeat Basket stands on a solid oval foot decorated with reeding. The navette shaped main body is pierced with a band of floral scrolls, as well as flower heads in ovals. The rim and arched handle is decorated with reeding and the base is engraved with a vacant shield shaped cartouche with floral garlands below and tied ribbons above.
