A George III Sweetmeat Basket made in London in 1786 by William Abdy II

The Basket stands on an oval foot decorated with beading and pierced with star motifs. The main body has a beaded rim and arched swing handle and is also beautifully pierced with a band of flower heads and star motifs in roundels. The main body is also engraved with floral garlands and a contemporary Crest. Very well marked and in excellent condition.
