A George III Pepper Caster made in London in 1783 by George Brasier.

The Pepper Caster stands on a stepped pedestal foot which is decorated with beading. The vase shaped main body is pierced with vertical pails and stylised flower heads in roundels. The sides are also engraved with drapery swags and a vacant circular cartouche. The domed pull off cover is pierced with plain roundels and has a beaded rim. The Pepper has a blue glass liner.
