A George II Sparrow Beak Jug made in London in 1737 by George Greenhill Jones.


The Jug stands on a circular spreading foot decorated with reeded bands. The baluster shaped body rises to an everted rim and this example has a sparrow beak pouring spout and a scroll handle. The base displays a good set of hallmarks and a set of contemporary engraved initials.
