A George II Sparrow Beak Jug made in London by Richard Gosling in 1733


The Jug stands on an applied spreading foot which is decorated with a reeded band. The main body is baluster in shape and displays a sparrow beak pouring spout and S scroll handle. The Jug is well marked in the foot and is also engraved with various sets of contemporary initials.
