A fine George III Wine Coaster made in London in 1782 by William Plummer

The Wine Coaster has a stepped base and beaded rim. The sides are pierced with an upper and lower band of flower heads, as well as flowers in roundels. The sides are also engraved with prick dot and herring bone garlands, as well as a set of contemporary script initials. This piece is in excellent condition, is well marked and displays its original turned fruit wood base. William Plummer was a specialist pierced worker and made fine wine coasters.
