A fine George III Vinaigrette made in Birmingham in 1813 by William Pugh.

The Vinaigrette is broad rectangular in form and the cover is inset with an unusual shaded agate. The sides display prick dot bands and the base is engraved with scale work panels and a central floral spray. The interior is finely gilded, is well marked and displays a grille pierced and engraved with foliate motifs and a central floral bud.
