A fine George III Butter Shell made in London in 1814 by Emes & Barnard.

The Shell stands on three winkle feet and is modelled as a raying scallop shell. The angular carrying handle is decorated with gadrooning and displays a stylised flower head on the top edge. This piece is in excellecnt condition and is very well marked.
