A Charles II Porringer made in London in 1680 and stamped with the makers mark of EG see page 129, Jackson.

The Porringer is of typical form and is decorated on the lower section of the main body with acanthus and palm leaf motifs. The upper section displays a band of stylised arrow head motifs and two cast scroll handles. The base is well marked and and is engraved with two sets of initials and the date 1749, which must refer to a successive owner.
